Celebrate nature and community at the Summerland Greenwell Preserve Restoration & Native Plant Fest on Thursday, October 24th, 2025, from 9AM to 1PM at 200 Greenwell Avenue.

This hands-on event, hosted by the Summerland Citizens’ Association (SCA) and its community partner, the Montecito Trails Foundation, invites volunteers to help restore the Greenwell Preserve while learning about native plants. Participants will work together to care for the land, improve habitat, and connect with neighbors in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and water will be generously provided by the Natalie Orfalea Foundation and Lou Buglioli. Please bring gloves if you have them; loaned rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows are especially appreciated.
